The Allan Ganley Jazz Legacy
"June Time" concerts

The Allan Ganley Jazz Legacy has been formed to keep alive the music composed and arranged by Allan Ganley who was one of Britain's foremost jazz musicians.  A series of concerts to launch the new album "June Time" (see CD page) were held in June 2009 with great success.

Concerts were held at The Stables Wavendon, South Hill Park Bracknell, The Concorde Club Eastleigh, Mill Hill Music Festival and Watermill Jazz Dorking.  They were all extremely well-attended and hugely enjoyed by the audiences and musicians alike.

The concerts featured music from the album as well as others from Allan's library of originals and arrangements.  The band line-up was a who's who of British jazz led by the wonderful Andy Panayi and included Julian Siegel, Alan Barnes, Jimmy Hastings, Martin Shaw, Mark Nightingale, Bill Geldard, John Horler, Malcolm Creese to name a very few!   The fabulous Elaine Delmar also sang with the band at three of the concerts allowing audiences to hear the wonderful arrangements of standards that Allan had written for her.

We hope to hold more concerts in the future and information will be displayed on this website.
